Our work PC’s and their accessories continue to get smarter and now with AI on board, things are progressing rapidly. Concurrently, our expectations as the users and administrators continue to increase. With that, how will the manufacturers meet our needs in 2024 and onward? This is a question HP and Poly will attempt to answer at the HP Showoff webinar.

We have invited experts Mikael Cato and Henrik Johansson who will introduce you to the most recent products, services, and solutions from the advanced HP PC’s to Poly’s hybrid sound- and video solutions. You will get insight into the ways in which the technology can optimize your workday and create a more productive, fun, and sustainable workplace.

First Era of the AI PC’s

These days, it is hard to find something that is not about AI, even when it comes to the PC manufacturers’ new roadmaps. In this arena, HP has the largest portfolio in the business boasting 21 new AI PCs equipped with a Copilot button!

You might find yourself asking: "What is an AI PC really?" The true answer is that it has not been completely defined just yet, but the global provider of market intelligence TrendForce has offered its suggestion for the three requirements a Windows-based AI PC must meet:

  1. A DEDICATED NPU CHIP, which performs tensor computations faster and more energy efficiently than traditional processors must be used. Both the Intel Core Ultra and the AMD Ryzen 8000 series have an NPU chip.
  2. 16 GB RAM AT A MINIMUM is recommended as a prerequisite for the AI computations
  3. A COPILOT BUTTON making Microsoft Copilot easily accessible

We are already feeling the effects of AI. As an example, we feel this when we have the ability to transcribe an online meeting. However, this is likely just the beginning of something much bigger. We are excited to see what the next chapter has to bring. So stay tuned!
