The challenges facing public-sector organisations and their IT departments are reaching new heights. Soon, a new reality will emerge with updated legislation governing citizens’ data. In its wake, a historic transformation is taking place as 98 public IT departments are consolidated into just a handful of regional centres—a move that demands clear direction, focus, and capacity.

Heavy operations and administration of IT systems are not conducive to focus or headroom in an already challenging time. Nor is maintaining specialised competencies—especially in niche areas.
