When the global leader in the AI-race calls to assembly, then we are on. For everyone working seriously with the intelligent IT-solutions of the future, attendance is obligatory! Nvidia GTC is an event which, in their own words, shapes the industry. We were onsite and front row at Nvidia GTC Berlin 2026 – and here we share the latest on what’s next. Including a PC that is about to change everything.
Next station: The future!
The newly concluded GTC Berlin 2026 was held on October 20-22. The settings were so symbolic and in every imaginable way fitting: Labs, sessions, exhibition and education took place in the historic surroundings at STATION-Berlin. In earlier times a central industrial hub for development and growth – now the settings for displaying a future which no one back then could have ever imagined. On top if it all the iconic Tempodrom Berlin was the venue for Nvidia CEO Huang Jensen’s live keynote. Tempo. Take off. Nvidia!
“… the perspectives following this release set out a new direction in our way of working with AI in our companies”

Accelerate the innovation!
The RTX technology was, obviously, the center of events, and from the very start it was clear that even the heaviest of specialists were in for a surprise, says Leif. “The AI development is running fast – we all know that. But now we have reached a level which no one have predicted”, he states and adds: “We expected to be met by a setup where Huang Jensen would articulate on their Vera Rubin suite, which also boasts a next generation GPU, developed for agentic AI. We expected to see laptops ready for market and maybe three or four product names and a workstation”. But, as things turned out, Leif and co. were taken by surprise. “What we were presented, however, was a fully functional enterprise setup on the RTX technology. A complete, ready suite for driving physical AI”.
Thus, we are back on the perspectives that Leif mentioned earlier. “They have created these functions to make us independent of cloud and on-prem, so now we can accelerate the innovation to a whole new level. It is going to take a while for this to sink in with everyone, but it is a genuine break in the development that we see here”.
Development on steroids
Even in an AI-era, the power of example still stands, and Nvidia CEO, Huang Jensen, embraced this from the stage. “At this edition of GTC it was only Nvidia themselves who were at display in the exhibition, and Jensen brought a strong example on stage. He held an RTX Spark laptop which ran a flock of robot ducks. Just three months ago it would have taken six months to train a language model to carry out this assignment – today it takes ONE day, using an RTX laptop”, Leif tells.
“We are talking development on steroids, and this leaves us with an almost philosophical dilemma: If we have an assignment that will take us weeks to finish – should we then wait a few months for a technology that will enable us to do it in just a day? The answer is probably somewhere between yes and no, but, obviously, if you want to be a first mover, then it is all about getting started right away”.
A journey away from the large datacenters?
We will conclude this first, fresh report from GTC Berlin 2026 with yet another dilemma. Another question. “With RTX Spark we now see a clear journey away from the large datacenters. Or from the datacenter as such”, Leif states. “The interesting thing is that a Spark laptop starts at €5500, and a well-spec’ed version runs at +€6700. A workstation, though, exceeds €67.000. However, while others worry about token economy, Nvidia dodges this and lets the companies carry out AI-tasks entirely local. With no use of datacenter or cloud”, he says. “That way this is also a discussion on when your investment in RTX-technology will reach a break-even on your token costs? For now, the answer is that if you have more than a couple of thousand employees then you need to start thinking differently”, concludes Leif Elgaard Høj, Director, Innovation & Emerging Technologies in Danoffice IT
