When talking about equipment for tomorrow’s IT-organizations, or about inspiration on being a part of the development, then Dell Technologies stands out. This also was the case when we this year once again had the pleasure of co-hosting the annual event, Dell Delivers. An event surrounded with high expectations – and which never fails to surprise! Dell Delivers 2025 did not disappoint, it did indeed deliver, and now you have the chance to experience it all in our recordings from the entire event.

Dell Delivers 2025 was, true to tradition, a glance at the solutions of tomorrow, but also a look into the crystal ball towards far horizons. Delicately spiced with context from Dell Technologies’ visions for the future. The common denominators were about sustainability, about the transition towards working with AI, and about the modern workplace. New views, new perspectives and new exciting tech got presented and kept the crowd exciting throughout the event.

For more than two decades, we, at Danoffice IT, have specialized in making a difference in the world. We have a global outlook and right from the beginning, we have worked in the world’s hotspots with the world’s leading charitable organizations. We have been in places where crisis is the norm, and unrest and corruption are part of everyday life. In those situations, it is no longer about IT, it is about people. Our global collaboration with Dell Technologies, which has been ongoing for years, is the perfect example of this. We are therefore happy to share with you this recap of the event, and an invitation for you to watch the recording of the entire event.

”Dell is already in the front of the development, when talking about sustainability in a broad perspective. But here they presented a whole new way of approaching the subject. The main take away from the event was that sustainability is now modular. Until now, motherboards have been produced with all components entirely fixated, and thus, they could not be replaced individually. Dell changes that now – and it is a significant development””.

Modular, sustainable efficiency

For this recap we sat down with the two hosts of the event for a talk on their experiences. IT Technologist in Danoffice IT, Lars Jensen, and Morten Humlum, Senior Advisor, Product Marketing, Denmark at Dell Technologies guided the participants through the program of the day. A highlight for them both was Dell Technologies’ new way of working with sustainability on their laptops and notebooks. ”Dell is already in the front of the development, when talking about sustainability in a broad perspective. But here they presented a whole new way of approaching the subject”, says Lars Jensen and continues, “The main take away from the event was that sustainability is now modular. Until now, motherboards have been produced with all components entirely fixated, and thus, they could not be replaced individually. Dell changes that now – and it is a significant development”.

Morten Humlum adds: “The modular update of our laptops taps into several different tracks. Both with regards to sustainability and to efficiency in the IT-departments. Traditionally, you needed to change an entire motherboard if a port stopped working. Everything was soldered on to it and was stuck. It is common knowledge that USB-C ports are the number one ports with the most flaws and errors due to wear and damage”, he says. “Unstable connections reduce the users’ productivity – and, until now, a whole new motherboard was required. But now you can change the USB-C ports alone”.

The next perspective is also about sustainability but from another angle, says Morten: “The IT-administrative perspective is that even with a replaced motherboard, then it was actually the same as replacing the entire machine anyway. Because in the software portals, the original machine would now be erased, and a full software rollout was required. Until now. This takes a lot of time, but with our modular technology, the ports can be replaced locally within 15 minutes. Even without the involvement of the IT-department – and, obviously, without the need for discarding any equipment. We are talking next generation manageability here”.

Artificial Intelligence – a real challenge

For Lars Jensen, the next main topic was the talk on AI. “The event also featured an exciting introduction to – and discussion on – the next generation of processors. This is a subject which we in Danoffice IT closely monitor ourselves, so the relevancy was high”, he says and continues: “We had a presentation of the NPU and its role with regards to the PC and to notebooks. This development will have a big impact on all of us. A lot of optimization awaits us, for example on batteries and energy consumption. But right now, the central thing is to make the right choices – and here, a lot of manufacturers have not guided the clients well enough. So, right now there is a gap between the technology itself and the awareness and understanding from the clients, so it is an important talk Dell is now bringing to the table”, says Lars Jensen.

Adds Morten Humlum: “At Dell Delivers 2025 we focused on the choice of processor, and how it matches our use of AI. Today, I will not recommend anyone to buy PC’s not Co-pilot+ certified”, he says and continues:

“We don’t know the full impact of the use of AI, but the usage rate will increase exponentially in the near future. Right now, many companies are working on developing their own, proprietary solutions in order to secure their data. But it quickly turns into a talk about energy and cost, because it takes very much compute-power to send out requests. Therefore, we now launch new machines with a local NPU’s, so all processes take place on the client itself. A request sent towards a server uses much more energy than if you handle everything locally”.

Morten underlines that it is important to make the right choice, and that both Danoffice IT and Dell Technologies are ready to assist on doing so. “With our Dell Validated Designs we can help clients getting started the best possible way on working with AI. Everything moves fast now – and a 2-3 month horizon is a long time these days, so nothing is simple about this. This is the reason why a good start is so important”.

A part of the modern workplace

As a final extract from the event, Lars highlights Dell Technologies’ presentation of new docking solutions. “The final thing I will highlight is the physical dimension of the modern workplace. Dell introduced new docks which meet our demands for flexible ways of working. They are smart and they can update Dell-equipment, but at the same time they are universal and work with our manufacturers’ equipment”, he says.

Morten elaborates. ”The majority of connections are never updated. We are not solving the problem in full here, but we are getting some significant progress. The synergy, obviously, really comes through on Dell’s own equipment, but since we have incorporated a feature called MAC Address passthrough, eliminating issues with proprietary USB-connections, then this is indeed a big step forward. Therefore, our new docks have a revitalized relevancy. The new docks also have integrated WiFi to meet modern workspace-setups, which increasingly will be cable-free. These are small steps, but small steps making very much sense in the development of the modern workplace”, concludes Morten Humlum, Senior Advisor, Product marketing, Denmark, at Dell Technologies.
