From a Single Idea in Funen to IT Solutions in 186 Countries.
In a world where technology connects people, organizations, and humanitarian efforts across continents, Danoffice IT has, for 30 years, been a quiet driving force behind some of the most important IT solutions, both within Denmark and in the international sector. Whether it's private and public organizations, UN field units, or NGOs in the world’s most vulnerable regions, Danoffice IT has delivered technology that makes a difference.

Founded in 1995, Danoffice IT began as a trading company and has since evolved into a global heavyweight in IT infrastructure. Today, 30 years later, we celebrate not just a milestone, but a journey driven by vision, courage, and people.

The Beginning: One Idea, One Customer – and One Ambition

When Steen Nielsen founded Danoffice, he had a clear ambition: to deliver IT solutions to organizations that make a difference. The first major customer was the United Nations, and that collaboration marked the beginning of a journey that continues to this day.

“It was about understanding the customers’ reality, especially the UN’s unique working conditions, and helping them with technology that could make everyday life easier,” says Steen Nielsen. “For me, it was about solving their challenges with technology and exceeding expectations — that was the driving force.”

Growth – With the Heart Intact

Over the years, Danoffice IT has grown significantly. The baton has been passed to current CEO Lars Baun, who has led the company through a period of major growth and transformation. A key milestone was Danoffice IT’s first acquisition in 2019, Datacon, which marked the beginning of many future expansions.

“That was the first time we expanded the family,” says Lars Baun. “And every time we’ve made an acquisition, we’ve moved closer to our goal — becoming the global IT infrastructure powerhouse we are today.”

The establishment of offices in Singapore, China and India has also been, according to Lars Baun, significant milestones that have strengthened Danoffice IT’s international presence and capabilities.

Global Presence – Local Understanding

Today, Danoffice IT has offices in Denmark, the USA, China, Switzerland, Singapore, and India, delivering IT solutions to the UN, NGOs, and both Danish and global private and public organizations in 186 countries. One of the many notable solutions offered is DOIT Green’s global ITAD service, which focuses on local handling of used IT equipment, ensuring documentation and compliance for customers in 138 countries. This global reach, combined with local insight, makes Danoffice IT a strategic partner for organizations operating under complex and demanding conditions.

The Culture: The People Behind the Success

Behind the growth lies a strong culture. Although Steen Nielsen is no longer involved in the daily operations, he highlights the employees as his greatest source of pride.

“It’s the people who make Danoffice IT. From the beginning, I wanted to create a culture where employees felt valued and happy—both at and outside of work. And humor is the best tool to connect with those around you,” says Steen Nielsen.

Lars Baun adds:
“When you bring multiple companies together over time, it’s a continuous task to create a shared culture. It’s a journey we’re on—and our employees are fantastic at contributing to it. We’re a united group of passionate and dedicated people—and that tends to be contagious.”

The Future: Curiosity and New Horizons

The next five years bring new ambitions. Lars Baun envisions another acquisition—this time outside Denmark—to bring in new perspectives and competencies.

“If we want to remain relevant in an ever-changing industry, we must constantly evolve. When the world talks about AI, we need strong AI capabilities. It’s not just about us—it’s about being the partner that evolves alongside our customers.”

Looking ahead, Steen Nielsen hopes Danoffice IT will continue to be a company with strong values:
“I hope and believe that Danoffice IT will continue to stand for decency, professionalism, and trustworthiness. A company you can rely on. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.”

30 Years - And the Journey Continues

Danoffice IT turns 30, and the journey is only just beginning! With roots in a strong vision and eyes set on the future as a global IT infrastructure powerhouse, the company continues to create value, build relationships, and deliver technology that makes a difference - worldwide.
